From time to time, the AIB intends to run events with the intention of informing government and industry about issues relating to guarantees of origin and transferrable certificates.

The first of these was the 13 March 2008 workshop “Perspectives on Certification of Power Generation in the light of the new EU Energy Policy”, at the Kempinski Hotel in Budapest.

On 25th June 2009, a "Government & Regulatory Committee" meeting was held, at the Hotel Amigo in Brussels.
