“Perspectives on Certification of Power Generation in the light of the new EU Energy Policy” 1st October 2010 - Radisson Blu Resort, Dubrovnik |
|

|
Above: delegates to a previous workshop in Budapest At the end of 2009 / early in 2010, the EU Commission finalised the challenging energy package, and in particular the new Renewables and Internal Electricity Markets Directives (2009/28/EC and 2009/72/EC).
On 1st October 2010, the Association of Issuing Bodies, RECS International and the Croatian Energy Market Operator (HROTE) are organising a workshop in Dubrovnik which will address the policy, practice and implementation of schemes for Guarantees of Origin (GO) and electricity source disclosure. These topics follow on from the adoption of the Commission’s energy package.
The main themes of the workshop will be: - The need for common approaches to certification and disclosure of the source of electricity
- The relationship between GO and support, disclosure and targets
- How renewable electricity, renewable energy sources and electricity supply interrelate
- The relationship between EU Member States and external (i.e. non-EU) States.
The workshop is likely to be of interest to authorities and regulators dealing with electricity markets, plus system operators, market players and other interested parties.
