Norway is the clearing house of the electricity market: 1,457 TWh sent and 1,167 TWh received. Transfers from Norway to Germany alone were 441 TWh, representing 13.4% of all volume.

Electricity volume keeps climbing: 1,150 TWh in 2024, 1,214 TWh in 2025, and 932 TWh in just the first eight months of 2026 - peaking at 302 TWh in January 2026.

Gas is new and scaling fast: from just 4.5 GWh in all of 2024 to 2.01 TWh in the first eight months of 2026. The Netherlands sends the most; Spain and Finland receive the most.
