The Open Market Committee (OMC) is an important meeting point where AIB and its members – the competent bodies for guarantees of origin across Europe – and market participants can develop a better understanding of each other’s needs and wishes.

The 'Open Markets Committee' (OMC) took place in Madrid, Spain on 20 Sept 2018.

The purpose of the OMC:

  • Annual meeting
  • Between Issuing Bodies, members and observers of AIB and
  • GO market participants, and their representative association, RECS International
  • Goal: create meeting point
  • Develop a better understanding of each other’s needs and wishes

Why?

  • IBs are market facilitators at national level
  • AIB and the Hub are facilitating the European market
