The Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB) has published its 2024 Annual Report, highlighting a record-breaking year for the European Guarantee of Origin (GO) system. With 1,084 TWh of EECS GOs issued, alongside historic highs in transfers and cancellations, the report reflects growing market demand for reliable energy tracking.
The 2024 report also showcases major steps forward in data quality and digital infrastructure. These include the adoption of the new v80 message format, enabling enhanced data on emissions and sustainability, and successful audit results across electricity and gas schemes. Additionally, the conclusion of the REGADISS project prepares the foundation for future gas disclosure under the revised Gas Market Directive.
