Gas Scheme Group
The Gas Scheme Group oversees the gas-specific parts of EECS Rules & EN16325. It promotes AIB & member interests in gas-related topics. Lina Rudzianskiene (Amber Grid) and Anna Venema (Verticer) are the chair.
The AIB Gas Scheme has nearly tripled in size since mid-2024 (from 6 to 15 formal members), showing how quickly registries are moving from domestic-only gas GO issuance to full AIB Hub connectivity, and, increasingly, to real end-use cancellations rather than just paper transfers.
AIB-wide gas GO issuance reached roughly 4.5 TWh in 2025, still a fraction of the electricity market but growing fast as more registries plug in and more of that volume is used, not just traded.
